im having a hard time finding the proper gel to convert my 580exII into outputting 4000K (Fluorescent)

i searched and it says to use Tough Plusgreen #3304 on the Rosco pack

but this makes everything way too blue
even with the 1/2 and 1/8 Tough Plusgreen..its just not right

what color and rosco number works?
im looking for just one gel...and not 2 stacked together

Here's a thread that may help:

It's doubtful you'll find a single Rosco gel that works. Note that there are many types of fluorescent lights and they each have their own color characteristics. And the best of them suck pond scum for photographic purposes as far as I'm concerned.

Fluorescent lights create a discontinuous light specrum, meaning there are certain wavelengths that they don't produce. Gelling a flash to match them is an exercise in futility but you can get reasonably close.

i tried the above link
but used full CTO and full Plusgreen
i wanted a single gel that could mimik it

and its not 3:30am and i think i found a couple of gels that i like

i set my WB to fluorescent
(btw..it says approx 4000K...but thats totally off)

i found CalColor 30 Yellow to produce good color....slightly on the cool side
and Straw Tint also produces good color....just slightly on the warm side

If you have some way to measure color temp, it might help. I use a WhiBal card, take test shots, neutralize the color of a RAW file in Adobe Lightroom and note the resulting color temp and tint settings.

Using this method, you can test the fluorescent light, then test various gel combinations to see what comes close.
