Hi

I have been considering upgrading my monitor to an LCD because of space saving reasons and because they sure look darn good and nice! ;)

I don't remember where I read it but is it tru that LCD monitors won't be good for editing my photos? If it so, for what reasons?

LCDs are starting to get cheaper and they're starting to get closer to my budget.

Any opinions or enlightenment is welcome!

roni

I don't know if this helps, but I've been doing all of my photo editing on my laptop. It is a Dell Ultrascan 15" LCD monitor. It looks better than my 17" Trinitron.

Good luck.

Hi Roni,

Personally I would not use an LCD for Photoediting. I feel that they do not have the same brilliance as a CRT, even when you look at high end workstation models such as an SGI Flat Panel

I prefer the ViewSonic series CRT monitors.

You are correct on the "cool factor" thought, this is why many offices have the receptionist and other visible staff equiped with these monitors.
