Abe's of Maine? With the rebates (buy 3 and get $80 back) and the $10 discount it comes out to about $22 or so for an 8gb extreme III card.

Are the Kingston above (Elite Pro 133X) and the Sandisk Extreme III the same speed? Kingston uses the "X" arbitrary speed rating and Sandisk I belive uses megabits per second?

Trying this question again . . . . Are the Kingston above (Elite Pro 133X) and the Sandisk Extreme III the same speed? Kingston uses the "X" arbitrary speed rating and Sandisk I believe uses megabits per second? Anybody?

This is what the Card's makers claim...

Elite Pro= Writing Speed: 20 MB/s, Reading Speed: 25 MB/s

Sandisk Extreme III= Writing Speed: 30 MB/s, Reading Speed: 30 MB/s

There are several tests and reviews done on both the cards and from what I have read the speeds that Sandisk claim to achieve are a bit high, but it's still the faster card under the right conditions. They are both great cards and the Kingston's can be bought cheaper last time I compared. I use Kingston, I have had 2 Sandisks go bad and my kingstons are used, abused, and still truckin';)

Thanks for the info, 10MP.

Frys wants to charge me (I love this figure) $6.66 to ship it. I should go with the Buy.com deal. No paperwork or stamp for the rebate is worth an extra buck and a half!
