Awesome shot Paul; did you use any gnd's on that one and if so what's you gnd set up? As far as the 17-40 goes I don't think there is any trade off in color or clarity; however, I do miss the build of the 17-40. Filter's screw on like butter on the 17-40 and I am using the z pro holder so I never had any vignetting even with a screw on nd or cpl in front of the holder with two gnd's. Now forget it; unless I shoot 17-22 mm. Sony A7r, Sony 16-35 f4, Canon 1d3, Canon 70-200 f4L, Sigma 150-600 contemporary, G1X, Lee filter holder and gnd's, Singh-Ray reverse gnd

Sep 25, 2010 12:45 | #355 Another nice one Paul. Nice work on the blending. I have been researching various blending techniques. I think next time out I will forget the gdn's (due to the vignetting and also that my Cokin gnd's have a bad cast, especially when stacked) and give the bracketing and blending a go. I just find it a little hard to get the meter readings with the camera on the tripod, especially if I have the tripod low to the ground.
