In 1966 when I was 16 years old I drove out with my parents and brother to California stopping on the way out at Grand Canyon. We went to the south rim also for part of a day, but did not go anywhere else at the Canyon. We also went to Bryce Canyon, and another place but can't remember the name right now.

I would love to go back and take my wife there also but it is not likely we will ever get back there. In 2010 we did go to Yellowstone for a few days and loved it, and the Tetons! Oh the Teton mountains are just magnificent!! Absolutely gorgeous mountains!!!

I hope you do get a chance to go back, never say never!

If you do there is a nice little town called Williams that is perfect for a stop over. Really friendly folk and some Route 66 history to look at while you are there.

This is my second year here. I got a lot of storm clouds and lightning shots last year. Most all of my shots are from my balcony which wraps around my second story, so I can shoot weather from all directions. Im in

an area where we all have acreage so the coyotes are thick at night. It kind of freaked my wife out the first year.

It is a bit toasty right now, but I like the 4 seasons and exploring the area in my Jeep. The view from the top of Carr Canyon road is pretty awesome.
