We got hardly anything this time last year. We were there as the dang thin erupted for the first time in 7 weeks. This was just he tip of the iceberg...when it exploded, huge chunks of rock and ash went flying everywhere....we were lucky to be about 1/3 mile away, within good viewing but not close to the danger. After a few minutes, the lava came up as well. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
