Incredible! Trully my favorite that i have seen on the whole website. lOVE!

Thank you very much. I knew I had something special when it was happening. Unlike other parts of the country, our storms are mostly embedded within the heavy clouds and not isolated enough for good photo opportunities. I am jealous of the many great photos of isolated storms in this thread.

Found about the Nor'wester in wikipedia. Looks impressive. Is it true that brings depression to people?

Yes, some people are susceptible...like the Mistral and Chinook I believe...the wind ionises the air and apparently this can have a depressive effect.

But for the rest of us it just brings warmer winter weather and great skies!!

Very nice, Ryan! Did the storm in #3 do anything interesting?

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

hey there :)
the wall cloud hung around (from start to finish) for about 30-45 mins. It looked great but didn't do too much. About 5 or so mins. after taking that photo it looked like there was chance of a twister but then began to disintegrate.

I thought it looked like some rotation going on... And the wall cloud sticking down looked interesting as well!
Did you see the cloud that I called a shelf cloud a page or two earlier? Do you know if that's the right name? I saw something quite similar in Reed Timmer's book that he called a shelf cloud, but IDK for sure. ;)
