I received mine yesterday. The build quality looks and feels just like Canon.

The battery tray slots where the AA's are divided are very weak. I'm afraid I might break the tabs when I remove/insert batteries.

I tried 5 sets of multiple off camera flashes with PW and my 580EX II. (4 continual shots each) I waited a minute from each set so the 580EX can cool off.

During the test, the flash didn’t fire three times.

For the price and the quality, I think it's well worth it.

Does anyone own both cp-e4 and these knock offs anc compare the quality of battery trays. I have heard old trays on cp-e3 would break easily and this was fixed in cp-e4.

Robert,

I think many of these packs are not compatible with the SB-900.

Read the fine print very carefully.

Enjoy! Lon

Thanks Lon. I do see that many are indicating they are the equivalent of an SD-9 but are not listing the SB-900. I'll poke around a bit to see what I can find.

I have the yongnuo SF-18 and the ligt turns on for a couple of flashes and then turns off. I believe mine to be defective. Has anyone had this experience? Its been like this from the time of purchase.

the light turns on when the battery pack is charging the capactior to the flash. it should make a slight repeating noise when in use.
