One from Lola taken a few weeks back using my 100mm f2.8 L Macro that was on my camera at the time. Quite impressed with the outcome. Another one of Lola and other images taken that day in the woods can be seen on my photo blog (external link).

I love seeing your photos Julie, they're just stunning. Please tell me again what gear you use, although I fully appreciate it takes talent too, not just fancy camera gear. I never seem to be able to fill the frame when I take running shots. I think I start shooting too early and always need to crop alot.
That fawn dog in the second pic is a chunky looking dog, almost looks like a staffy cross hahahah.

Thank you. Whippet racing is definitely my favorite photography subject. I use a Nikon D300 with an 80-200 2.8 lens. That fawn dog is named Aztec, and yes he is a beefy boy, plus his owners keep him a tad bit overweight. ;) Here are some more pictures of him:

Here's my boy Puck this evening trying to entice his brother Tag into a game with him and his Christmas reindeer.

Man, this is way too difficult!

While out playing in the back lane with Lola, I tried to get some action shots of Lola jumping for the ball. So I tried to throw the ball with my left hand and shoot with my right hand. Man, this is way too difficult. I kept throwing the ball against the wall or in the bushes.

I like this one as Lola is completely off the ground and the ball seems to stick against the wall.

my whippets this morning, fiendish Feather making Tag run for his life. It's weird though they look like wax dummies to me in this pic.

We had our whippet fun day this Sunday just gone. I took my camera but never even got it out of the car 'cause I was too busy operating the lure. These were taken by P Hulks with his 40D & 400mm 2.8
since I didn't take them I dont know if I am allowed to actually post them here so I am posting a link to the slide show. Some have missed focus but there's some beauties in there too.
