This is our 6 year old whippet Wesley with our rescue lurcher Blue in the background. I was messing with an old EF 28-80mm kit lens from my 35mm days and the image quality was far superior to the one that came with the 350D I used for this. I also use 50D and 30D bodies but the 350D never fails to please. The shot was snatched with the camera held at knee level, pointed approximately and left to its own devices.

I came across this blokes work, http://www.giacomobrunelli.com/foto00014.html (external link) which I have to say I found disturbing but thought I'd have a play around. This is my version.

Greeting Antipodes! Blue is black, not blue (and he's not sad either!) It was the name he'd been given when we collected him from the foster home. A very intelligent whippet/greyhound/collie mix and a fantastic pet.

Lovely photos Sally, all of them.

Warning, Gross alert.
Penny found a bunny head at the park and after proudly parading around with it, ate it all, eyes, ears, teeth, brains, everything.

Nice one!

You could try and crop the images slightly so the overlap is less so the paws don't get cut off. May result in a failed stitch if you have to crop too much. Or you could place part of the original behind the layer and rub out the grass to bring back the paws in PS.

Here's two I did a short time back:

Whippet triplets

I tried cropping it but they went all wonky, I dont know why. Yours are really good! I like the first one the best.

Glad my suggestion worked! Looks great now!

Not sure of the settings on the 7D, but you may want to reduce the continuous shooting speed slightly. That would give a little more space between the whippets. I shot mine with a 5DII so at a pretty slow speed compared to your 7D.

Thanks for the compliment, appreciated :-)

Thanks. :D I like the fast frames because it shows more of the galloping sequence. If I had it slower I would have had to stay on him longer and I wouldn't have got as much in.
