A group of us went on a ride to the Lincoln Aviation Heritage Centre on Thursday, we set off in sunshine and the Met Office said it would be cloudy with sunny spells all day. Ha! I should have known better, when it turned from heavy rain to hail it was time to take cover. I have to question the wisdom of taking shelter under trees and gathering around a 40 foot high steel lamp post while lightening was flashing all around us.

Once it eased off a little we carried on down to the Centre and dried out a little in the NAFFI and grabbed a welcome bacon butty and a cuppa. We then lined up the bikes in front of the Lanc for a piccy, wouldn't you know it; as soon as the bikes were in place the sun came belting out and we had a white out on the front bikes. We couldn't be bothered moving them all again so the picture below is the result, after a lot of Shadow/highlight tweaking; no point bracketing as they couldn't stay still for more than a second. By the way; mine's the Gold GoldWing on the far left, for some reason the partner of the guy on the GoldWing in front of mine decided she was going to stand in front of my bike instead her own?

Good story.

:D Tripod. Self timer. Run like hell to move her & get into the shot.

Good suggestion Frank BUT! I didn't have my tripod; the 1dmkII doesn't have a self timer (I've been using it for 2 years now but still had to go check :o) and the Biggest BUTT (forgive the pun) of all; she's much bigger than I am so she can stand where ever she wants ;)
