While travelling through the UK over the last couple weeks, my girlfriend and I met up with a local model, Leanne. We had a great time hanging out in Scotland, and the scenery was very inspirational.

These are a few of my favourites from our session. I'd love to hear what you guys think, so of course C & C is more than welcome.

Many of these seem overexposed... particularly her white dress... Tricky exposure to get the dress correct and everything else as well. 5 and 7 are my faves. Think they have really good comps, and the exposure is almost there...

Thank you all for the compliments! Yes, she really liked number 4 as well. It's definitely a different look for her.

I see what you mean. The dress and highlight detail was all very clear in the originals, but the PP pushed it a bit. The detail is still visible in the full size images, but the smaller websized ones make it a little tougher to see. I think in a print, the detail would still be there.

I'll have to tweak with it a bit to preserve as much detail as possible. Suggestions would be very welcome at this point. :)

I'm a fan of 3 and 4. Granted the dress is still blown out, but i think it works. Especially with the older, vintage style.

Beautiful location and lovely lady. I like the variety of PP styles you used for the pictures.

Thank you all for the comments!

Yes, Europe is a lot of fun. Now, I just need to go back and get on the mainland (ie: outside the UK). But heck, even getting out of my own city is enough to inspire creativity. :)

great work.. because:

more than one shot wonder posts
different looks and feels per photo
incorporating objects and locations
lighting control.. don't know if you used all ambient or not.. but looks good
create poses..

how long was the session?

No. 1 could use some dodging on the field to stand up the brown and gold colors, i love the composition in number 5

Thank you very much. I've always enjoyed your photos (particularly in the 35L thread), so this means a lot to me coming from you.

These were all done with ambient (sometimes with a reflector). Really just a matter of finding the right spots....and waiting for the sun to go behind a cloud :)

The session was about 1.5 hrs. There are a few more shots on the blog (external link), and I had a bunch of other ones that turned out really well to give to her.

I see what you're saying..maybe a bit too much contrast there? Thank you for the suggestion...I'll try that out tonight when I get home. :)
