I was looking at the T1i cameras on ebay.

Seems like a lot of them are selling right now. Any news on the street; guys and gals. Why do you think this is happening.

Are people hate'n on the camera, does it suck, are people trying to get cash?
Is there some news we haven't heard about the T1i.

It has the same AF system as the XSI. Mine was a very problematic copy with poor focus and OOF pictures, so I would guess that`s why.

I just noticed this myself. Was browsing a local CL type website, and I noticed there was an unusually high saturation of barely used T1i's for sale.

Never miss an opportunity, do you!?

There seems to be only TEN used T1i's listed on ebay right now. There's 28 Nikon D90s. There are only 3 D5000s, but the T1i has been available for sale for longer and all the unhappy D5000 owners had to send it in for the power button recall before selling! :)

In reality, I suspect some people may feel a bit dissatisfied with the movie mode since it is not really p&S friendly. Image quality of the T1i is superb, so I am sure that is not it.

My T1i (500D) has been awesome with no problems. I love it. That being said, since I have gotten more knowledgable about cameras and photography - I might have bought a 50D instead.

I`m sure you feel this is personal, but that would be incorrect...It`s based on my experience with the XSI copy that I owned, as I have clearly stated.
I thought I was allowed to speak freely, just as you or anyone else here without being confronted or ridiculed about it... I certainly didn`t say anything to you.
My reply was directed at the question that asked others about there opinion related to high T1I resale on Ebay.
I have expressed my opinion the same as you. The only difference is..... I didn`t confront or ridicule, you about your opinion.

I don`t miss being monitored by a few here, about my XSI related posting.

Just pointing out that you can't pass a Rebel thread without popping in to mention that your XSI was defective. And I did mention my opinion on the topic too.

You have never even used a T1i, though, so don't see how it is relevant. You are free to say what you wish, but by the 400th time you say the same things it gets old and so some of us can't help buy be annoyed. And freedom to speak goes both ways, eh?

As long as you don`t make direct and negative statements to or about me...Then yes.
The T1i has the same AF system, so it pertinent to the subject.

Every T1i does not have the same miscalibrated AF system that your single defective XSI camera had. You had a bad copy of a Canon camera. It happens. It happens with Nikons, too.

Yeah. I`m sure it does.

I don`t know why the T1i has such a high turnover. I can only guess that it would be due to some kind of customer dissatisfaction.

Unlike the other Canon bodies I have used, the Rebel line seems to have this problem more than any other body line. I`m not trying to pick on anyone or cause trouble here, but I do know others personally that have had the same issue`s and it`s not operator error. It`s AF system error. Thanks

but you do pick on/bash the XSI in each and every post you can. That is why people are so annoyed/p*ssed at you. (especially since you done so for many months now, and probably will do so for the rest of your life) It's time to move on dude.

I don't think "drdiesel1" will ever move on!
He buys a new camera every few months but still constantly complains! Why doesn't he just move on to Nikon forums with his new Nikon?
maybe his is complaining about his new Nikon on the Nikon forums!

I clicked on the thread out of curiosity since the T1i is a relatively new release, and all I read is two or three people going back and forth. Its time to give the pissing match a rest, or start a separate thread.

I was extremely satisfied with mine and there was nothing wrong with the AF whatsoever. But since the grass is always greener I couldn't help myself and picked up the 5DMKII. Well, the T1i is a very nice and capable little camera but the FF is the only one getting use at the moment for very obvious reasons. I am now considering either selling the T1i or giving it to my daughter.
