It is a biggy. Man was it huge....and pretty maneuverable. If you were there when it left yesterday, you know what a neat show the pilot of this mammoth machine put on.

Comments, critiques and suggestions always appreciated.

# 5 is the best,I've never seen the A-380 from that angle.
Great shots.

Hahaha... It must have been a different pilot that flew it out of the show. I'll bet the one that flew it in was sent home! They were debating if the plane was going to be able to take off after the terrible landing.

A friend just sent me this video of the landing coming in. You may want to watch it in full screen mode to see how rough it really was. I guess landings like this are known to do serious damage to birds like these.

I saw the video, that was a rough landing. Surprised
it did not damage the plane.

Thanks everyone. I had a good time shooting these and others at the show.

#5 was my favorite as well, but I buried it in the middle to see what others thought. Truly enjoy getting other peoples perspective on the pictures...this forum is great.

I just saw the video. Personally, I would classify that landing as "rough". There was a healthy crosswind on a short (by A380 standards) runway in front of 300,000 people. Better to arrive "smartly" than to float a little and run off the end of the runway in front of a crowd :)

As a pilot and ex- McDonnell Douglas MD-11 development team participant, I can assure you that was far from a damaging impact. I have seen ALOT worse. You should see how far those wings can flex before they incur any damage or break....it is simply stunning.

Once again a fun time at EAA. If you have never been to one, you should consider attending.
