Well i've been kinda jumping around the forums and such and found a site that compares lens's, cant remember which.

I've been wanting a lens that compliments my 55-250mm 4-5.6 IS and from what i can tell that the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX Macro would be a good lens to have.

Especially since i have spotted a few used ones going between 100-200$. I think that is a good price for this lens.

Im only a hobby photographer.

shooting a canon rebel 300d already have the nifty fifty, and just got the 55-250 IS.

I think it would be nice to have the lower range of the 18-50mm sigma

You are seeing the macro version in the $100-200 range? If you can find that, snap it up, but I seriously doubt either 1) they are the macro version or 2) they are legit.

It is a very good lens (the macro version was better than its non-macro older sibling).

well to be honest, it is just the auction with about 2 days left so anything could happen and yes its the macro version, seems pretty legit to me as i just picked up my 55-250mm IS on ebay as well that was brand new. so i might go with it and see what happens.

Must be this auction, I wish you luck, they usually go for $300 or more. Just be sure to ask the seller what all comes with it, like box, case, hood, caps, etc.

ha its the one i've bid on actually. I went back through his feedback and found the auction where he bought it new.

Im gonna go for it and see what happens and i guess if i win ill report back :-) i like to live risky sometimes with ebay cause sometimes you get a good deal. And i've used ebay so much i've come to find myself knowing when something is legit or not.

I appreciate the heads up ill email him and ask what comes with it
