Very bad-ass. Could use some minor rotation to the left to correct your horizon line.

It is also kinda warm. I think that it MIGHT be better if this was a little more cool in the WB realm. There are already so many warm colors on the right of the shot that the warm WB covers up all the greens and blues and purples on the left.

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!

Great shot of a familiar place. Where are the people, I have never seen the walkway sans travelers!

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Alpha, I like the comment of the "little too warm". I tried out the less warm and it looks a little better.

Alan, there were tons of people. I used two .9 ND filters plus an f/11 to shoot at around 30 seconds. The people just disappear that way.

Brilliant!
I wondered how you got O'hare closed long enough to take that shot.

Nice idea. The old timers did that long exposure thing to get pictures of the Eifel Tower with no one around it.
Besides the coolness of the color and rhythm of the lights, the pic gives me a sense of claustrophobia like the ceiling is pressing down.

Well done

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

I was there over Memorial Day weekend and I thought the walkway lights changed colors and the neon tubes would do a "wave" on and off. So I had a real confusing time trying to figure out how you got the shot, since I thought the colors would get all mixed. But now that I think about it, the side walls don't actually shift colors IIRC, or if they do, they do very very slowly. And the neon tubes obviously cannot shift colors--they are just different colors as you move along the walkway. So yes, it is a long exposure shot. Nicely done! :D

Thanks again everyone for the comments! I think I'm going to go back and reshoot the shot though. I needed to get an exposure longer than 30 seconds in order to get rid of all the ghosting left behind by the people. For some reason I couldn't find the bulb setting on my camera at the time (I was rushed by my flight leaving). So, back to the drawing board. Going to take it again before my next trip in September.
