Don't let my post count fool you. I'm still a noobie and always will be. I wear long shorts, high top sneakers, and white socks with red stripes up around my knees.

I don't know an f stop from a shutter speed. Got no idea which way to turn the dials until I see what they do in the viewfinder.

Now that's the definition of a noob.

So, welcome me too.

It's all true. I've met him.

But Mark, you'd find learning which way to turn the dials a lot easier if you'd stayed with strictly Canon. Those Nikons you pick up from time to time do everything backwards, which contributes to your confusion. You're still welcome here though . . .

Hi, me. Welcome to POTN. Make sure you turn your camera to the little green box. Voila....expensive point and shoot. All those other labels don't mean anything.

In the case of MDJackie I don't think he was refering to the camera manual, more likely he meant 'DSM-IV-TRĀ® Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'; in particular, the section related to impulse disorders and the regular and somewhat random purchase of misc. photography associated items from B&H
