It was 90 degrees on thursday in Ketchican and we were told were wouldn't see any bear since they went up country. I was trying to get some eagle shots and this guy wanders out of the woods. Then one of the folks in the group yelled "BEAR" and scared him off. Swell.

Some stuff that says "Canon" on it and a happy trigger finger.

It's scary looking! How big are they? Good capture, especially under the circumstances!

Thanks. I was using a 1DmkIII with the 500 and 1.4x. And yes. It was from the boardwalk at the rainforest sanctuary in Ktown. Good spotting!!

I have been there many times. I have sport kids so we are always going to fundraisers and auctions for their different sports. I know thw owners well so when their tour comes up for aution I always buy a couple. I have like 6-8 unused tours they owe me. Family coming in next week so they will get put to use.

Also I "snag" kings where that creek emptys into the ocean. My favorite fishing season is king snaggin season. Its not fishing, its harvesting fish...lol
