My father just got back from Alaska and saw a few humpbacks from the cruise ship but they were far away and it was hard to get a decent photo. In fact he bought a new lens just for that trip (Tamron 18-270) and I tried to convince him to get a 100-400L. He's sorry now, lol. Chris
