Why am I not surprised?

You're just trying to cultivate a mythos of unflappability . . .

Leitz Tiltall here too, approx 1974. I've had all sorts of cameras on it from my Rebel up to a couple of 4x5 view cameras (only recommended for non-windy conditions).

I have a tripod from my senior year of high school - 1972/73! I still use it occasionally, but I am shopping for a replacement. It is a Kamakazi (designed to be used once and thrown away), but alas, I still have it.

BTW, I still have my Marantz 1060 amp and Marantz 105 tuner from those days too . . . both still going strong!

I got my Bogen 3030A when I was in the 8th grade, which now makes it 29 years old.
