I might have to hop over the hill and kidnap this little guy for the Chief! https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=8433157#post8433157

I think that would be a good dog for my mother too. :D

and that IS a cute little puppy but my first thought was "well there goes that nice yard"

The grass their urine kills is easy to replace, we do that every couple years, just buy a few rolls of sod. I wish I had of trained Jasper to use the same spot every time, it would have made things easier, that's for sure.

Now this is depressing. I just finished downloading all my pics from our trip. 2 weeks in CA and all I have to show for it is 465 pics and that's before I cull them. Of those, 85 of are fixing the house and 166 of sunrises and sunsets. I need a vacation.

also, I had a real strange occurrence. I picked up a 32 gig Corsair UBS flash drive for a very good price. Thought I'd use the flash drive to transport all my pics but about 1/2 of them came out corrupted, seriously corupted but only when using my FIL's Vista PC. On XP things are perfect.

Anyone have any issues using a flash drive on Vista?

Never had that happen myself. Did you still have the files on your CF card?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I was going to bed a few minutes ago and, out of habit, I checked by blackberry for tomorrow's schedule to get my head wrapped around my day. My half day meeting was canceled - and I had nothing for the rest of the day!

So I made an executive decision and emailed my staff that I was burning a vaca day tomorrow. :D :D :D

Hope you have a wonderful vacation day Chris.

Permagrin wrote in post #8430875 (external link)
oh sweet!

I'm taking the day off too

no really. No wedding processing. No cleaning. Just me and the dogs...gonna play.

Pups will like that. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I tried a more traditional shot as well with a little fancy (for me) PP.

Looks good. We will have to try it if we ever make it your way.

 I was going to... eventually. ;)

The other day I asked Cat if I could scrap some of her photos of Amikah, as I was bored and was running out of "current" stuff to scrap. Plus I just got a new kit to play with that made me think of her.

Well, one of the layouts I made got Layout of the Day. LINKY (external link)

HAHAHA! We love you Paula. ;)

My pleasure, darlin. :p

Dog brains, lol.
Apparently one (or both) of the pups can fit through the gate slats into Wade's garden, and in the 30 minutes between Wade letting them out of their crates, and me getting out of bed, they had dragged a sweet red bell pepper plant into the house and proceeded to mangle every pepper on it and spread the seeds all throughout the livingroom. Geez.

Thanks Deb.

JJ! HOLY crap man. Good to see you. :D

sorry about Wade's garden getting puppyed.

Did you yank the flash drive out without using the "eject" thingy?

No, I always use the "Safly remove hardware" thingy.

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #8433501 (external link)
Never had that happen myself. Did you still have the files on your CF card?

I was abler to back everything up to CD's (not DVDs as their burner only does CDs) so I did not loose anything. I also left most pics on my CF card as a second backup. I have all my pics but just wondered what was up with the Vista machine.

The only thing I could figure out googeling while out there was that for some reason Vista was not recognizing the drive as a USB2 drive and just using USB1 because when I checked the driver it did not display the "high speed USB" message.

Anyway was just wondering if anyone else had any such issues.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Maybe someone needs to shout and wake up a few folks. ANyway, I'm back in Ill.

Ah, was wondering why all the 18% gray days this weekend.;) Glad you made it home safe. Are you happy with what you got accomplished on the California house?

cfpackerfan wrote in post #8432671 (external link)
BECKY... your photo didn't show up for me. Can't see it. I want to see your pano.

Why do our photos play tricks with each other?

Caught up. I'll be scarce this week if you haven't already figured that out. I must get month-end done in the next 2 evenings and then put on my gammy hat and have fun at the fair.:D I'll pop in when I can.
