Nice shots Chief...#1 and #2 belong in my garage. Especially 1.
Was the guy in #4 as large as he appears to be?
Those last two shots look like a place I could suffer with having for a daily view. :D

Gotcha. Should have come up while she was home, lol...apparently its my week to cook all sorts of different things. Today was fried zucchini and blt's for lunch and dinner, and while I was baking cookies tonight, I also made a meatloaf for later in the week. Its rare that I get that domesticated....I even cleaned up afterward!

I'm the same way. I hate to cook. But, I have found that since I've been with hubby and not had an outside job, I love cooking for him.:D and cleaning the apartment to! *gasp*

I just thought of what I want to do... Bacon, eggs, cheese, English muffins, Egg McMuffin-style...

We'll see...

Chief - Great photos you posted. I love seeing all of the old cars.

Forgot about this...put the 5D in the green zone and handed it down (I was glad to see that the green zone automatically puts focusing onto the shutter button rather than the *):

pretty sure I posted this before, my bro is on the left (not kneeling). world record great white caught off Montauk with ROD and REEL\

Kewl! The only time I saw Great Whites like that was off the coast of El Salvador, when I was in the Navy. Several of the guys on the ship were fishing off the fantail and catching sharks like that. Those suckers were huge!

I will say that thunder storms over here are a completely different beast, Sid. Intense. I can feel it in my bones, and in my blood. Makes me want to to run barefoot with Mother Nature just to see if I could keep up.

Now that I'm thinking about El Salvador, your post reminds me of the heat lightning storms I used to see down there. Lots o' lightning, but no rain. The sky would just light up for no apparent reason...

Reno Pictures.

Nice. I want to go to Reno again, now. I haven't been there in too long!

BTW, what casino was that first shot from? That actually looks like the Edgewater in Laughlin to me.

I was quite surprised the first time an armed guard asked me to open my dicky :-)

IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE]

And all this time I thought a dicky was something I used to wear as a very young kid to make it look like I had a proper undershirt on.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I had a fantastic morning!

A guy who works for me arranged an insider's look at a rail yard. The owner was going to open up his engines so I could shoot inside. Well, during our introduction this morning he said, "So do you wanna go for a ride?" Of course I said I did.

This is a very small railroad that hauls mostly frozen food. So this morning we took a trip into Portland and dropped off some empty box cars and picked up chicken strips! :D

I got to ride in and then drive, this train:

QUOTED IMAGE

You heard me, I said DRIVE! I told him no initially, but he insisted. WOW! What an experience!!

You know, Chris. Nobody likes a showoff. :p

Something to share.

I have itunes playing in the background on random. Everyone remember the movie Last Of The Mohicans. The song from the very end of the movie when they were chasing after them to save the girl just came on. What a great movie but it makes me a little sad.

I've had a few cab rides in my life, including a nearly identical engine, but I never was allowed to touch the throtte. I guess my reputation preceded me.

I have just read the UK papers on line.... and I wish I had not.

It is not often that I am truly shocked by what people are capable off but in this case, I just don't know what to think.

Some of you may know that Teresa and I have had real problems having a family, our hopes came to an end after her second ectopic pregnancy.

And then I read THIS (external link)

It is a very difficult read, so take care.
