But the thing is Lisa, the camera says I am spot on, but the photos are dark. was that your experience too?

I find the 5D photos to be richer in color and texture than the 40D and the bokeh to look nicer in general.

I find Canon camera's have a learning curve with each model that can take months to figure out and longer to master.

yep, that was my experience. I was following the histogram...and they appeared okay on it but didn't once I downloaded them. If the meter is evaluating the whole scene, sometimes you have such extreme brights and darks (as in the park) that it will look okay when it isn't. In a lower contrast scene you'll find that your evaluative meter is more accurate.

It's a model, can be of anything really, that is made out of cardstock....heavy weight paper. Thin cardboard......that can be printed from your home printer. There are several free models out there and even more detailed ones for sale. This particular model is selling for $9 a download.

really well. Really. She was so stern at the practice but we got along very well at the wedding. It was the best wedding I'd ever shot. People were on time for their photos, we got our breaks (that we always ask for but never have time for). It was great.

Glad it went smoothly for you Permie, I was concerned.
