I have been playing with the photo aging technique and found that it works really well for buildings as well as people.

This is my favorite.

Great shots Neil, I can see why that one is your favorite. The PP really makes the shot.

I think the entire San Gabriel Mountain range behind me is on fire. I haven't seen a wildfire this big since 2003 when the San Bernardinos were burning.

That is close to you, what are you going to do if the highways are cut off by the fires?

Bad stuff to come back too. My brother was not feeling too good for a few days, went to his doctor who said his red blood count was down, he spent 5 night in hospital and the tests revealed nothing, he was discharged with an appointment for a barium enema at the end of the following week, he had a really uncomfortable weekend and went back to the hospital on the monday, they admitted him and eventually gave him a CAT scan at 19:00 hrs, at 22:00 hrs he was in theatre having an extended right hemicolectomy to remove a tumor and a significant portion of his colon. Not sure of the prognosis or the Chemo regime we will find out more this week.

Another of my brothers died of Pancreatic / Liver cancer when he was 49 I was really lucky as I had a bowel tumor removed when I was 42 whilst it was still at a villous adenoma non malignant stage. Lets hope that my brothers prognosis is as good as mine was.

I guess if anyone has a family history you really can not be complacent and hold off going for checkups.

Wow, hope your brother pulls through Neil.

In about an hour, virtually every TV in San Diego County is going to be tuned to the Little League World Series. A team from Chula Vista beat San Antonio(Sorry Robert :p)to become the US Champion and advance to the final against Taiwan...

Yeah, yeah, yeah :p
I was watching the Chinese TaiPei and Mexico game waiting for the Chula Vista and San Antonio game yesterday when they went into rain delay...when the news came on, I changed the channel and forgot to go back to the game:rolleyes:.
The final should turn out to be a great game. :D

Help help, I have stumbled into the lens forum, I am not allowed in there as I failed the entrance test on two counts:

  1. I know the meaning of the word compromise
  2. I thought that people were entitled to an opinion that differed from mine

:p :p I knew I could post an opinion about a lens over here without being castigated for my opinion about it... I'm just waiting to see what my post over there brings up... I love troll baiting...

It was. Chula Vista won it 6-3 and did it with no home runs. It was a bit of a cliffhanger in places...

She is hurting. We took her in today to get some fluids because she won't eat or drink. I imagine her throat hurts so much. They gave us pain meds in the hopes that it will give her relief so she drinks. I will follow up with my regular vet this week, she has been being seen by the emergency clinic.

Zane, I'm sorry she's having such a hard time. I hope she perks up soon!

Bobert...just so you know, I suck (and I mean BAD) at gears of war. I'm motion sick...I've been killed so many times that I'm beginning to fell more comfortable as a corpse weltering in it's own gore than a soldier

Thanks Lisa.
I can't play video games that have that first person effect, or whatever they call it, when it looks like you are looking at the scene from your own eyes. I get motion sick and it lasts awhile.

I tried flying a jet for a while (I was just doing the "training" and nearly hurled during the barrel roll exercises)

I just needed a day off.

My BIL got me a dirt track race game years ago. I loved it but just couldn't o it without feeling cwappy. I can drive a race car on dirt, no problem. Put it in video game version and I get queasy.

Wow...that's great! Even after Chula Vista lost to San Antonio the first time....I think SA got over confident thinking that they won the first time, so why not the second.

That happened to me a few times. I like to play the Medal of Honor series and after sometime, when ever I would play I would get motion sickness. Where before I never would. Now, I try to keep my game play down so that I don't get the motion sickness....or play upstairs where there is a larger tv...helps me a bit.

Yep, 1st person shooters. You can sometimes change the perspective if the game publisher built that option in, but not all games do. Another thing that helps is not moving to fast in the game, usually left/right turns.

Doves are so passive-aggressive. They bank so much on that whole "Birds of Peace" thing, too.

Hi Bucky.

See? Get a little print in the Noah's Ark story and it gets all up in their head.
