DeeT, nasty stuff, keeps skeeters off, period. Permethrin is a substance you can put on your clothes, or buy already impregnated clothes from hunting places. It lasts through washings. I hate the chemicals. I generally wear loose long sleeve clothes even if hot. In places like the glades or Belize I coat a Vietnam style hat in deet.

Just make sure you have someone with you who tastes a little better than you do, mosquitos are very fussy eaters when presented with a choice :-)

That works wonders for me. My poor wife gets 10 bites to 1 for me. I feel so bad for her and telling her she's sweet doesn't help.

Unfortunately, I am the tasty one in my team  I wake up, eyes chewed and swollen shut. Leyla is like "huh, there are bugs?"

I know it's not a great shot but they do love their new crates and fuzzy mattresses. I put blankets on the top for a little bit of privacy....but this is them tonight at bedtime. I liked the look of their old crates but these really work and they are much softer with the new pad thingies.

Good portrait as far as light, backdrop, tiny tiny looking chair. The subject looks uncomfortable and forcing a smile. His eyes say unsure, uncomfortable, pretending to be something. That is reinforced by his sort of stiff position, the subtle blocking body language, and odd hand position. I don't know but is that his portrait outfit, or does he dress like that? It looks stiff. How old is he? Could you moon him and snap a shot real fast? I bet you get an awesome, real expression. You see why I am not a portrait photographer?

I think I need to do some new photos of Hale. I just realize how much bigger she is than the last photos I took of her.

:lol: I KNOW! It was seriously a bummer to see the crates, especially since the old ones were tres cool. But they ate them. The old ones I mean.
