Who likes 1Ds 2 over the 1Ds 3?

Let me know your thoughts. I just downgraded to the 2 to recover some value trapped in the 3.

LOL...The only downgrade I have heard of is 1DIII to 1DIIN cuz of AI Servo issues.

Well, think of this...

If you essentially get everything you need from the 1Ds 2 and have a used 3 that you can sell for close to the money you spent on it, then why not sell the 3 and use the recovered cash for some Ls?

I do not need this thread to justify anything. I have my own brain and ability to analyze feature differences, IQ, etc..., but curiosity exists and so does this forum, so why not ask around as well? It won't push me one way or another; however, others may be curious...otherwise, might as well shutter the forum.

I do not see any cogent arguments so far from any of you.

The 1DS mark II is plenty of camera for most photographers and i would love to have one. My only gripe would be that it doesn't have a lithium battery. I don't know why it would be better than a 1Ds 3 though. But I haven't used both cameras enough to know.

I was gonna try a very weak - I like the 65 mustang better than the 2005 but nah.........

In the studio I think your fine. Running around outside I would rather have the III.

Can you justify this? What are your specific reasons besides being able to say "hey, I have the latest out there, etc..."?

You know what, I think I will close this thread. I have yet to get anyone that has the ability, or the desire to who their ability to make a decent argument either way, with possibly the comment above on the lithium battery.

For the majority of the responses, just a bunch of flap from those that evidently have trouble putting two thoughts in sequence to make a sentence communicating reasons for or against.
