Well... yesterday I messed up the dates and posted the winners. 10 seconds later I realized Duh! its the 10th not the 11th and deleted it, but some still saw it..... I hoped more would participate but no new posts so my original choices still stand.

So first thanks to all who submitted, as they were all great attempts to show a Beautiful Sky

Third place Spring Sunrise by Flo
An interesting formation of natural sky colors

Second place St. John, Newbrunswick sunset by jag757
A beautiful amount of smooth orange....

And the best of the bunch to my eyes!!....

First place Orange Bay Sunset by Kendoway
Just the perfect sky view, a large print would do any wall justice!

It would have been a hard one for me as I am a huge cloud lover:o

Thanks for the mention John....I have yet to see those colors and formation again.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Wow - as far as I'm concerned, every photo in this round was exceptional. I'm a lucky man to have such fine friends (and who support my learning efforts) here on POTN.

Thank you John, and esteemed colleagues.

It was our last day in Negril, and we had a HUGE storm hit the island at around 3:00 so I assumed that there simply wasn't going to be a final chance for any further photography (gray and overcast). The Caribbean is a funny place though, and storms pass quite quickly - and starting around 5:00 that evening, the light simply got better and better. In fact, we had a series of 2 faux sunsets (my entry was during the 2nd) as the sun passed behind the distant storm, and varying layers of clouds. I think I took close to 200 pictures and I really wish I had a lens that was wide angle (well below my rather poor Tamron 18-200).

Oh well, I've almost got enough money saved for a 50d, and will retire the Rebel XT, which has over 40k shutter actuations at this point. That old camera has served me well.

Again, my gracious thanks!

I'll have #111 up by lunchtime tomorrow.

PS - BAsmith, I particularly enjoyed your entry.

Great job all! Glad I wasn't the judge:). Congrats to the winners. I had an entry and was ready to load it. Checking the EXIF data...it was from the Powershot (the day the mirror fell off the Rebel:(). Oh well, Say "La Vee."

It's not as dramatic as some of the entries, but I think it is pretty and wanted to share it anywho.

Gonna try for some shots of meteors tonight. Wish me luck.:)

Great entries all, and congrats, Kendoway! That was a great shot!
I had a pic from my Teton trip, but I didn't get it entered in time. Some things happened this weekend that threw me for a loop. Anyways, here it is. Like Candy, I wanted to share it too!

Have fun!

Alright! I think I have one for this. It will be later though. I really need to get some sleep before work tonight.
