it's kind of rare to find the USM version of it in US. good example of rare >< good

My favorite is when the listing has the word Rare in the title and there are 3 others for sale on the same search page.

The USM versions are not sold in the US, so yeah. But it's not what I would call "rare."

Id say its pretty rare as they didnt produce this lens long before making the MKIII with no USM which shipped with the 350/400/20/30D as a bog standard kit lens, then they made the IS that they have now

I asked him about it and he told me to search for the lens with USM on eBay. Thats how he justifies "rare"
