Anyone have any experience with this head? I'm considering pairing it with a fiesol. I'm trying to throw together a respectable system before I head to the pacific coast highway/napa/vegas for my honeymoon. My original idea for a ballhead was a markins q3t, but if I can save some money and only sacrifice a little, weddings and honeymoons are expensive!

the brand itself is good. I have the PC-74-NS. I don't think you sacrifice anything vs Markin. GET it.

I'm aware of that. And the dealer has a great reputation.

But these are made in Korea, where a friend of mine currently lives (he's Korean American). In other words, I can get a substantial discount.

My plan to review the ballhead, and the eagerness for others to read the review, has nothing to do with being the first and only reviewer of the product.

I wouldn't trust a single person's opinion on something like this; the more people who review the product, the closer we can get to some kind of meta review of the product. Two or three reviews is a tiny sample size. Give me double, triple, or ten times the number of opinions and I'd feel more comfortable making a decision to try it out myself.

Short answer is: I love it.

Longer answer: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=729106

I've since had the chance to put the tripod through its paces a bit more (moderate wind, legs in moving stream). It's superb thus far. Not ideal for long, heavy lenses, but for 135L and shorter, it's fine.

Nice. I plan on using the 17-55 and 10-20 with tripod, so it might be right for me. Where did you find the seller that used the B-0 ballhead instead of the B-00?

I asked one of the eBay sellers to make a special package for me. That said, I have a feeling the PC-30N ballhead mentioned in this thread is more stable than the B-0 Benro head. If you're going to upgrade the head at some point anyway, it may be smarter to buy the legs without the head. Just keep in mind that-- as some of us found out one here after some investigation-- the Benro legs for the 0-series come in two different configurations: with a shorter, lighter center column when sold as a "kit" with a ballhead, and will a full length center column (extending, when folded, all the way to the tips of the legs). Only the shorter, "kit" configuration allows the legs to fold totally over the center column + head.

Do you remember which seller? I wonder if I could get one of them to un-kit a legset so I could get the shorter column without the ballhead.

I have this ball head on my Feisol tripod. Works great, I don't have any heavy lenses though (just 17-40L) so can't really say if it'll hold the advertised weight. With 17-40L attached the ball head doesn't move at all when tightened. Operating wise it's very smooth, no complain here. The leveler is nice but I don't find myself using it all that much, usually just eyeball the level through view finder.

Hope this helps.
