I find the pictures depressing. Don't get me wrong, each one is stunning and clearly a top shelf pic. What depresses me is that no matter what the equipment one uses, no matter what the skill level of the photographer, what really sets these apart is location, location, location. I so want to be a NG photog and get to travel to all these exotic locations.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I guess 2009 is done, eh?

I feel bad for anyone who gets a great shot between now and December 31.

Those will go into 2010. We have to plan ahead you know -- there are already Christmas decorations out at the Dollar Tree! :P

None of these images actually ran in or had anything to do with National Geographic -
you will notice there are no credits - this is just an internet HOAX

Nice pictures? Yes National Geographic? NO

Did anyone take a look at the content of the Fourwinds website? It's some kind of crazy religion.

I didn't look at the content. I saw this thread on SEVERAL websites; they just had it laid out nicely, so I used it. Well, even if it's not really National Geographic, the photos are still outstanding.

The photo of the fox in the snow almost has to be National Geographic material.
The film was of the exact same fox in the same location doing that same thing, and it aired on Nat Geo.
I think there is some genuine content.

The program I saw and mentioned earlier was a BBC production that aired on the Discovery Channel, not Nat Geo. Did you see it on the Nat Geo channel too?
