Hi, all -

I've been using Firefox on Costco's photo site for over a year now, but suddenly I can't open my albums (although I can log in).

I can use Internet Explorer 8 with no problems, but who wants to do that?

This is a new installation of Windows XP and a new installation of Firefox 3.5.1.

I suspect there is some security setting that's getting in the way but I can't find anything likely.

Haven't found any leads in a POTN or Google search and Costco's tech support hasn't been any help.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

It's more than likely the code on their website. My internet banking won't work with FF 3.5 despite working with 3.0. The Bank said it's their site's browser detection that doesn't recognise FF 3.5 and they are fixing it. I'd bet this is a similar thing.

Six - try this:

Go tools, then Add-ons, and then click the "Plugins" button.

Disable all of the Plugins, reboot, and then go back to the Costco site. If it works, then slowly re-enable all of the Plugins. This usually solves a lot of pesky FF problems.

Well, well, well. I believe the villain was FF 3.5.1 itself.

I rebooted to my old drive (also Win XP SP3), brought up FF 3.0.10 and got into Costco with no problems.

Time to install 3.0.10 on the new drive, I'm thinking.

Then I rebooted again to the new drive and Firefox came up with an update to 3.5.2, installing it automatically.

All fixed!

In another thread here a POTNer was talking about bug issues with 3.5.1. Guess I found one.

I'm happy now! :D

Thanks for the help, guys!

Time to install 3.0.10

Cool! I'm on 3.0.13, and all is well :)
