Is the GH1 so hot that Amazon can sell if for $1000 over retail?

While Adorama has it for retail!

and B&HPhotoVideo has it for retail!

Maybe its because they have it in stock. Panasonic better start making tons of these or the competition will catch up. Has anyone seen this camera? Has anyone used it?

Anyone read the user reviews on Amazon?

Poor High-ISO noise, artifacts in HD video, yada yada yada.

Sounds rather unimpressive

It's a cool little camera for young people starting out, it's stylish and all that... I would never consider for anything serious.

Look who you're dealing with, it's a third party called Big Value Inc. They should call themselves Big Price Inc.

It was a big prospect for the movie maker guys until the 5DII released the new firmware. the big reason was manual control.

Actually there is a lot of chatter what the 5D is not the best idea. To little DOF. Can the GH1 be the right paring of larger sensor but not to large?
