I shot a bunch of antiques cars at a local meet-up last night, trying another subject for HDR. It was my first time shooting a car, and the places was packed with people and cars, so I had some trials and tribulations.

This shot didn't look good after an (impatient) run through Photomatix, so I tried some exposure fusion. That also didn't look very good, mainly because Photomatix's preview didn't look anything like the output.

Finally, I tried Enfuse with the help of Enfuse GUI. I guess that I just couldn't pass up making something out of this car and sky. It's not perfect - maybe one day I'll re-visit this sequence.

I love Enfuse! It's become my go-to for blending multiple exposures. I really like this shot - wide angle, picks up the sky, and the converging cloud pattern points directly at the hot rod in the foreground. Nice job!

That color should only be allowed in lip stick. Amazing how it migrated to almost everything around it. I bet it was even hard to look at. Given that, I'm surprised how good the picture came out. :)

Wolfden - Photomatix can do fusion blending or exposure blending or call it what you like. I couldn't get a decent pic out of it. Enfuse was quite easy and did a good job.

Mitch - Looking back after 3 days, I might have gone a little crazy with the saturation. It really was an interesting color for a car, and looked better than this shot.

This is after intelligently picking a white balance spot, no other post-processing.

Interesting, the cloud formations reflected in the paint.
Thanks for sharing.
