My chipmunk pal, Chippy Chipperton, was missing for almost a week, and boy did he have a tough week, as he showed up on my front porch with the battle scars to prove it:

awww, I hope you feed him up so he regains his strength. Would that be fighting with another chipmunk or perhaps a cat or dog attack?

Thanks for the replies. :)

There are a lot of stray cats, mean old raccoons, and tough red squirrels in my neighbourhood (as well as the grey and black ones), so Mr. Chipperton has a lot of potential enemies. I think he'll be OK.
