Maybe the background just a touch darker....which one works the best?

2 has a bit more pizazz IMO...

Either way, wonderful image! We'll be in Flag next Friday PM to Monday AM.
Looking forward to visiting the canyon on Saturday before the POTUS gets there on Sunday.

Steve, I really like that shot. I tried some ideas for other edits on it, I added more contrast on the background and some other adjustments to make the background have more presence. I also converted a copy to greyscale, I think that works well too. I really want to get back down there in AZ for a while as it has so much interesting scenery to photograph.
