Hi,

My 5D (not the Mark II) doesn't activate the flash (430 EX II) after I used the FEL-button (*) for adjusting the flash to a certain situation. The flash sends the light after pressing the *-button, but when I take the picture, there's no flash.

Any hints or tips?

Do you by this imply that if you use it normally, i.e. no FEL, it works as it's supposed to?

Hm, take a look at the pictures, same ISO, same aperture ... the first with a 40D and the 50mm f/1,8, the second with the 5D and the 35mm f/1,4

Was flash used in any of these? I don't know about your original question, but I am just wondering why the 5D looks really dark.
