Hi..is it me or are sellers from the United States exempt from mentioning the country of the sale? I have to look at every post and then can't proceed as I a in the Uk...isn't there a sticky or some rule to the effect that you should mention which country you are based in in the post for goods for sale * IN THE SUBJECT HEADER * ?????

please don't assume people reading these posts can somehow use telepathic techniques to know where sellers/items are based.

Yes there is guidance that says a seller should describe which country he/she will ship to in the topic title.

However, there are plenty of dbag sellers out there who just don't care. How should the mods enforce it? They can't. Get used to it.

The only way to enforce it is to delete the post right away if its not stated the way it should be, then they will contact a member of staff asking why its been deleted after that they should be told the posting privilages will be restriced in the future if they continue to do it

Just my two cents worth it worked on my old site when i done it.

Yep Steve I think that could work if people would report the offending posts as seen in the buy/sell area.

It is not just US sellers, let's be clear here. But to click the link just to read the sale item isn't that hard, and some of us US sellers will ship internationally, as do folks from other countries.

Also, it is really easy to suggest things that make the mods work even harder when you are not a moderator. If you want to get strict on the rules, then you also have to enforce the FS/FA/FT rules that alot of people don't do, etc.

I find that the sale forum is a courtesy, and making mods try to enforce each and every nuance will do nothing but remove the sale forum. I have seen this on other boards.

It's definatly not just US sellers as ive seen UK ones at it also. Thats not what im trying to do at all all i was saying if the post is put up its not that hard to write FS UK - FS US or FSW and FT. Its not about making the mods work harder as we all know they work effortly in the running of the forums as it is. After all it was only a suggestion not intend to be offensive to anyone.

We are not going to delete for sale/buy threads just because country is not mentioned. It is up to seller to present their items best as possible. But we strongly encourage everybody to mention country in the title.
