Can't get a much more amorphous title than that, can ya?

Question is, and not that it's ever happened to my prosaic poetic well thought-out and fully informative prose, if one's post(s) are deleted for whatever reason, does it minus one's post count?

for if not, it should. In baseball if you hit a home run in a rain shortened game, it doesn't count. Same idea, no?

Vitally important.

As long as those posts are actively and productively contributing to the POTN community of course...

POTN is a community that thrives on interaction and the exchange of ideas and advice. Even the threads that you might feel are inane and worthless add up to the warm and friendly community that makes us who we are.

Although, there are some threads that really stretch credibility.. :D

But yes, people actively posting is vitally important to POTN.

To take the noob point of view. Someone with a few posts is a fellow noob, someone with thousands of posts who has been around a few years is clearly a genius who knows everything.

Yes, reality doesn't work like that but even in many more experienced people's subconscious thoughts, a member who appears more productive to a forum comes across as a more knowledgeable person or someone whose advice "feels" more trustworthy.

I think all the other mods who replied need step aside. The above is the absolute gospel truth. Well said, sir.
