I bought a very low use 1D2n locally that has a rather unique error 99 situation. I've done all the normal checks, resets, terminal cleaning etc, and have finally concluded that it's temperature related. As long as the temp is around 75 degrees F or 22-23 C it works fine, both in single shot or at 8 FPS BUT let it get cold by going into an air conditioned house or building, or try to use it on a cold day & it's error 99 several times in a row until it frees up. I'm pretty sure it's mirror related, and assume the mechanism is drawing too much current to actually lift it when cold; meaning something is tight or lacking oil etc. Anyone ever had this or something like it? I can get it to work in the cooler air by retrying several times until the mirror frees up, but then I need to shoot fairly often or it freezes up again. Thanks, Larry
(PS I bought it knowing that it had an error 99 issue, and it had even been to Canon once for ir, but I wasn't told the full story but it was priced accordingly, so I can't be mad at the seller, plus it's worked very well recently outside).

A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

Could be a board with a bad sodder joint, or a cracked board or some sort of loose connector inside the camera.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.
