A former friend of mine called it chromatic abbarition. Some weird combo of aberration, and apparition. He also pronounced bokeh "bokay"(and he said said it, among many other photography buzzwords, quite often), and called the exposure lock button the spot meter button because he read an article about how to use spot metering, without really reading it.

I also pronounce it "bokay"..

Sometimes I'm glad I don't have random "into photography" friends:)!

That's just where you should say "Here's your sign!"

Sometimes people are just dumb I guess. Only going to get worse with CS5 :(

I think the person in question is so dumb they would look at you and go "du'h?"

I'm coming to the conclusion that we should wear T-shirts that say, "Yes, there IS such a thing as a dumb question!"

Many of the questions I hear are on a par with a cop who shines his flashlight on two kids in the back seat of a car parked in a dark, secluded spot and asks, "What's going on here?!"

Obviously, he either is completely stupid or was raised in a cave by neutered wombats.

There are no stupid questions....just stupid people that ask questions. :D

I wouldn't be too sure about that.

Mostly, I find it's stupid people asking stupid questions stupidly.

It's amazing how many people ask 'what are you doing ' with a perplexed face when you are stood looking through a camera on a tripod.

Or they ask 'what are you taking pictures of?' rather than looking at where the lens is pointing.
