Great pictures of a very cool bird. We have them around here and they are pretty brazen. My wife and dog (leashed) were in the garage and one walked right in. The other day one was within 10 feet of my dog who was leashed on the patio. I still have not been able to get a decent photo, though.

Roadrunner Update!

I saw him running down the road about 2 blocks from the house when I was coming home from work. I stopped and jumped out with the point-and-shoot and he stood looking at me from about 20' for a few seconds, but then ran off into the woods before I could shoot. So hopefully I'll get another photo-op sometime soon.

Good catch. I have yet to get a shot. Seems like every time I see one I am either driving or don't have my camera.

It is definitely a facinating bird! TFS.........these are the first photos I've ever seen of a real one. I had no idea they were so colorful. Great shots too. :-)
