Aussie Race cars Eastern Creek 9-8-09

Went out to get some shots of the aussie superbike series on the weekend and they invited the aussie race car series along to show their stuff.

These are aussie built small scale cars with bodies matching commodores, falcons, old styles and Toyotas. Pretty cool things IMHO.

Of course I put my camera down after the majority of one race was over and two of them collided and flipped one over about 4 times right in front of where I was shooting........You'd think I would have learned from the time I went to the drags and missed the biggest engine blow up most people have seen

Anyway here they are.

BTW, it's the first time I have shot race cars, so some good C&C would be appreciated. I know a couple are soft, but I was really trying to go as slow as I could.

Sometimes. If my wife gives me a leave pass, however I have just penciled the Fuschs Nationals in on our calendar so that's a start.

My wife is a top fuel nutter! She gets dissapointed when we CAN'T go!

When is that on BTW?

Friday 11 through to sunday 13 September.

No, there were 2 of those "toyotas", he was in the other one. He seemed off the pace compared to the one I shot. I did get one of him, but it's not so good.

Nah that's Brad Ward. I got a couple of shots of Crompton over the weekend - one here if you were looking.
