Aussie Car Mishap Eastern Creek

Hi, caught a sequence of a slight mishap in his Aussie Car at Eastern creek yesterday. These are two shots from a sequence of 12.
I realise focus is not bang on - the incident caught me off guard looking the other way at first.
Paul we must have been just along from you judging from your shot.

I was wondering if any POTN'ers were at turn 2!

Great capture! It happened so fast. I saw them tag each other, then just as I thought they would roll to a halt, it started flipping over like a crazy thing!
I was kicking myself. I had the camera off, beside me, and was sitting down half way up the hill waiting for the bikes to come back on. "Damn cars keep going around and around" was what I was thinking

Are you one of these blokes? I met a guy called Richard also shooting with a 100-400 whilst I was there, and the JPM guy.

By the looks of it, I was one of the only ones to hand hold too! I brought the pod, but I found it too restrictive to use

Hi, Yeah we are hidden by that big lens. My son Jason is behind it with the red cap. I was standing this side of him.
BTW your bike shots are good.
Which fellow was the JPM. Was he the fat dude with the big Nikon 400 f2.8 lens?

No, the JPm guy is the one on the good side of the fence in that shot, over to the right with his back to us. He seems like a nice guy.

The big guy, I'm not really sure of.
I was at turn 4 late in the arvo and he rode up on that scooter and plonked RIGHT in front of me to get some head on of them coming down into 4. I have to assume it wasn't on purpose, but he saw me, knew where I was trying to shoot (rear shots of them exiting 4) He could have stepped back or forward 5 ft and made zero difference to his shots, but he didn't budge, so I moved on. I got the impression I was invading "his" turf.

I did get a shot of his lens before I moved on though
I had to improvise after he positioned himself and try and get this angle instead of the rear shot I wanted. missed it by that much! It didn't really matter as I didn't have enough range anyway to get a decent rear shot out of 4 from where I was......and it was getting mighty dark.
