Just stumbled across this from amazon.co.uk - The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 has an '18' rating and "must be used responsibly and appropriately"

Any idea how you would use it inappropriately or irresponsibly ??? ???

I see Amazon have now changed the ad - the warning has gone now - maybe they read this forum?

Maybe some people used it as a looking glass to stare directly into the sun? Or focus it to infinity and point their camera on a tripod to the sun until smoke started coming out...


Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!
