cbc radio3 image of the day, october 10th, 2009

the cbc radio3 website selects a different picture to be used as their background daily from a flickr pool of over 32,000 images. i made my first submission of three or four images a few days ago and one was selected today. this is the first time i've had a photo acknowledged in any way and wanted to share. i didn't know where else to post this, so i thought i'd put the picture up for C & C to get some of your thoughts. this picture was heavily processed - the glass was pretty dull straight out of the camera.

Congratulations! I like the photo, and you did a nice job of getting the glass to pop. I think it is a really interesting photo.

thanks, folks! aside from a few test shots in my living room to see what USM was about, this was actually the first frame i took with my then new 85mm f/1.8.

Congratulations. The subject line was a bit confusing though. I was wondering how you managed to take a shot in OCTOBER when it's only AUGUST...

haha i never even noticed that. whoops! the picture was actually taken in march 2009.
