I couldn't believe how close I got to this little guy. His mom was off to the side watching.

Nice capture. Sometimes with fawns you can get lucky. They are a lot more curious and don't spook near as easily as their mothers do.

Thanks 40Driggs! Actually it didn't take any stalking on my part,he ran right up to us. My wife took this shot as he was coming towards us.

Sounds like a good time. I've had many many close encounters with fawns back when I used to hunt and a few since I started in photography. It is always a fun experience.

Love them both. The second shot looks like the one I saw today out my window. Prancing around having a ball while it's Mom picked apples off the tree.
