I think your link leads to the Petrified Forest, and we have established that it isn't that. I think you may be misleading yourself by thinking of it as a mountain. Oh - and it doesn't end in 'Point'.

This is (I'm 99.9% sure) part of the Painted Desert but this particular part has a specific name. There are photographs and plenty of references on the web about it. I'd hate to think that it was too difficult for you sleuths but, if it is, I'll have to help you home in on it - or give you the answer.

Those are the same photos I'm looking at but I can't find the name of it. I'm sure of course once the answer is given we'll all smack our foreheads...
