Is the place well-known for things other than 'weddings and other functions'?

It is named after a chap who I suppose is well known in some circles - I understand he started a rather large company in the US. At some point he bought this house and grounds, and later donated them, at which point it was named after him. It's a lovely place - I was there for a conference dinner a good few years ago.

I doubt whether he was famous in the normal sense of the word, even in the US, but he could have been. I can't say for sure, but his was probably not a household name like, say Bill Gates. The company he co-founded is very well known, and I'm sure you would have heard of it. I guess they liked him well enough in BC, especially after he gave them his house and its lands. He's been dead for a few years now, but he apparently reached triple digits.

Thanks! Against my better judgment, I am going to post this one. (It might be really hard to get a name of this falls... just not many photos of it.) And I'll even give a hint... yes to East Tennessee.

No. That would actually narrow it down some.
