I'm afraid I shall sit this one out - it's a bit too much like Tom's 'bottom side of a picnic table'!

Wikipedia wrote: In Australia it is mainly sedentary and found patchily around the coastline, though it is a non-breeding visitor to eastern Victoria and Tasmania.[20] There is a 1000 km gap, corresponding with the coast of the Nullarbor Plain, between its westernmost breeding site in South Australia and the nearest breeding sites to the west in Western Australia.[21] So, with exception of eastern Victoria and Tasmania where they won't be nesting, this can be anywhere along the coast of Australia. I suggest you give it another try with something more distinctive, Subby.... Simple rules: photo must be taken by you limit photo size to 1024pixel on the long side max if no response after 12 hours, game is open for anyone to post a new pic photos should have a reasonable amount of identifiable content. Avoid pictures of the bottom side of a picnic table. photos should be from a public location. No way can we guess the location of a picture of the inside of a dog house! hqqns When the frick did I get this new title and why? More info | For the record I was not asking for gps location of this. It was already figured out it was in qld. Thousands of tourists go past these birds everyday. I would have given it if someone said near cairns which is qld's 3rd or so largest town. subby

There is no visible indicator in the image where it is taken except the vague and not distinctive hills in the background.Wikipedia says about the habitiat of the Osprey (as far as Australia is concerned: So, with exception of eastern Victoria and Tasmania where they won't be nesting, this can be anywhere along the coast of Australia.
