there are a bunch of how-to threads.
basically, you sign in to bing. use their cashback search engine, use their link to the store, and buy the product within an hour (i think).

the cashback time frame depends on the seller. some have instant cashback, others make you wait 60 days. adorama makes you wait.

grrrr.... of course they up the cashback right after I make my purchase last week. Good deal, though, and live cashback (bing) has always come through for me.

Adorama is not coming up under Bing as a seller for the 5d... the only one around that price in stock is Regal Camera, which is a bogus reseller.

Also, I've been looking, and I can't find any cashback on any 85L... any advice? I would LOVE an 85L for $1650.

After you press the "go to store" button, it takes you to the store, you place the camera in the cart, and then to checkout. I see nowhere in the retailer's site a confirmation regarding the savings. So how do you know if you're going to get the savings or not?

You should see a Bing.com window that says something like, "Your purchase during this visit to Adorama will earn you 6-12% cashback", which then disappears and is replaced by the Adorama site, listing the item at the regular price. I agree, though, it's a bit disconcerting not to see some indicator of the cashback on the Adorama site. I've only done cashback through eBay (using authorized sellers) and there is always a banner on the eBay site that confirms the cashback percentage.

I've gotten my bing cashback from adorama several times. Many times. My wife would say too many times, if she knew.

Just choose Adorama from the stores list, go there, add anything to your cart, pay for it, wait 60 days for the cashback. You don't have to buy the item your after from a link on bing to adorama.

Adorama has Canon refurbished 85L mark I lenses for $1400 and 85L mark II lenses for $1650 now. Better hurry since Canon refurbished lenses sell out pretty quickly.

Yes I think everything is eligible for at least 2.5% cashback at Adorama. You do not need to search for the item in bing, but you do need to click-through the merchant link on bing.com. If you want to see the specific cashback amount, search for the item on bing and you'll see the specific cashback amount for that item at Adorama and other stores.

Thanks. I took a gamble on another lens and it went through as 6%. Posted to my bing account immediately. Woot! I just wish I would have been able to get on the 5D2 deal posted above... but honestly, I should probably keep my 1d2n a little while longer...

I don't use Firefox that much because of compatibility issues, but since someone will soon ask "why," I thought it should be me. I can use the post count anyway!
